Frequently Asked Questions about Printing

Bleed Area
 

In the realm of printing, "bleed" refers to the printing that extends beyond the edge where the sheet will be trimmed. Essentially, the bleed is the excess area intended for trimming. This bleed serves as the margin on the side of a document, allowing the printer a small allowance to accommodate paper movement and address design inconsistencies.

  • For Business Cards, Flyers, Brochures, Stickers, Posters, and Magnets, a 2mm bleed is required on both the inner and outer sides of the cut area.

  • All Booklets necessitate a 5mm bleed on both the inner and outer sides of the cut area.

  • For All Signs and Banners, a 1cm bleed on both the inner and outer sides of the cut area is necessary.

Rest assured, we perform a thorough double inspection and will notify the buyer if there are any issues with the artwork regarding bleeding.

How RGB and CMYK Different

Your computer monitor is composed of pixels, and each pixel can display over 16 million colors within the RGB gamut, which essentially encompasses all colors in light. However, your printer's capability is limited to reproducing only a few thousand colors due to the principles of absorption and reflection. In simpler terms, the pigments and dyes in the printer absorb unused light colors and reflect back a CMYK combination that closely approximates the actual color. In every instance, the printed result tends to be slightly darker than the image on the screen.

For those new to this subject, the advice above may seem a bit intricate. The key factor is the number of colors available in a particular Color Space. Standard office inkjet printers utilize Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black cartridges – traditional printing inks – and combine these four colors to produce a range of colors. However, the number of distinct colors that can be generated with ink is limited, generally to a maximum of a few thousand.

Computer screens, on the other hand, operate in a different color space known as RGB, where colors are created with light. In broad terms, a computer monitor can display around 16.7 million colors, thanks to the RGB color space.

Remember, you can't print light. Your printer's output will always appear darker than the image on your screen. To illustrate, if you draw a circle on a sheet of paper to represent all visible and invisible colors known to modern man, with a black dot in the middle, you'll get a sense of why colors change. The outer circle represents the RGB gamut, and the inner circle represents the CMYK gamut. As you move from the outer edge of the paper towards the dot in the middle, colors get darker. When you convert RGB colors to CMYK, they are pulled to their nearest CMYK equivalent, resulting in a darker appearance. In essence, you can't print light, which is why your printer output doesn't precisely match your screen.

Artwork Approval

CONFIRMATION:

Please carefully review all details. However, no responsibility will be assumed for any mistakes (wrong typesetting or design) once the artwork has been approved. Artwork cannot be used or sent to another design company before full payment has been received. If you provide your own artwork, please ensure that the size and image quality are correct and ready for printing before making the payment.

COLOURY:

Our printer does not reproduce colors exactly as seen on your monitor. While the image may appear vibrant on the screen, it may not print true to the screen. This is a fundamental truth. Achieving a perfect match is impossible because the image on the screen and the output from your printer are two different entities. The pixels on your screen emit light, while your printer uses dyes and pigments to replicate colors.

Return & Refunds

We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind. But you can choose a refund or exchange if an item has a major problem. This is when the item:
• has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying the item if they had known about it
• is significantly different from the sample or description
• doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can’t be easily fixed.

Custom order, design or printing item, we do not accept returns because a buyer has changed their mind, wrong artwork approvals or chosen the wrong item.

 

Return postage will be paid by buyer.
 

Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at sale@ueprint.com.au. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Our store is hosted on Wix. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors and images of our products that appear at the store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's display of any color will be accurate.
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products or Services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or services that we offer. All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at anytime without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. Any offer for any product or service made on this site is void where prohibited.
We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the Service will be corrected.

SECTION 6 - ACCURACY OF BILLING AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION
We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e‑mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

In no case shall UE Print, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers or licensors be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the service or any products procured using the service, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the service or any product, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the service or any content (or product) posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the service, even if advised of their possibility. SECTION 15 - SEVERABILITY
In the event that any provision of these Terms of Service is determined to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms of Service, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.

The obligations and liabilities of the parties incurred prior to the termination date shall survive the termination of this agreement for all purposes.
These Terms of Service are effective unless and until terminated by either you or us. You may terminate these Terms of Service at any time by notifying us that you no longer wish to use our Services, or when you cease using our site.
If in our sole judgment you fail, or we suspect that you have failed, to comply with any term or provision of these Terms of Service, we also may terminate this agreement at any time without notice and you will remain liable for all amounts due up to and including the date of termination; and/or accordingly may deny you access to our Services (or any part thereof).

The failure of us to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Service shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

SECTION 21 - COPYRIGHT AND RESTRICTED MATERIALS

Terms of Service

1. Sticker Installation:
a. The installation, removal, or repositioning of all sticker-related products, including stickers and vinyl stickers, whether conducted by our company or the client, may potentially result in damage to the applied surface. Such damage includes but is not limited to harm to vehicle paint, wall surfaces, or other applicable surfaces. We are not responsible for any damages incurred during the installation, removal, or repositioning process.

2. Signage and Vehicle Decal Installation:
a. We undertake the installation of all signage and vehicle decal type products.
b. A maximum tolerance of 5mm is allowed for any discrepancies in alignment or placement. We will not address or rectify any discrepancies that fall within this 5mm tolerance.

3. Color Discrepancies:
a. Due to variations in materials, paper, and equipment, there may be a maximum color deviation of up to 10% from the provided color reference.
b. We will not be held responsible for any color discrepancies within the 10% tolerance range.
c. We do not offer color matching services, but we are willing to provide printed samples for reference.

By engaging in our services, the client acknowledges and agrees to the terms stated above. Any exceptions to these terms must be agreed upon in writing by both parties. The client is responsible for thoroughly reviewing and approving proofs and samples before production begins. Our company will not be held liable for any issues arising from deviations within the specified tolerances.

 

Warning
The material you wish to photocopy , print or digitalize (either by yourself or  having us to do so for you) may subject to Copyright.

Please ensure that you have the appropriate right or permission to print, photocopy or digitalizing for the material you supplied.

As a printing service provider, we will not accept any legal responsibility for any misconducts of our customers. All customers must fully understand and accept their legal responsibility for the contents of their materials including images and texts. UE Print do not take any responsibility if you violate the copyright law and get infringement.

Content Restrictions
• Sexually explicit and all pornographic material including child pornography.
• Material which is defamatory, discriminatory or incites hatred.
• Material which exploits minors.
• Material which depicts unlawful acts, animal cruelty, or gratuitous or extreme   violence, assault on religion.
• Material which promotes fraudulent or dubious money-making schemes.
• Material which depicts drug substance and abuse, or bomb-making.
• Material which invades privacy or revelation of confidential information.
• Material which produces counterfeit  money and currencies.

By placing your order with us, you are also declaring the following statements:
Declaration
• I understand that the material I wish to photocopy or digitalize may subject to Copyright.
• I declare the materials I wish to print or produce are not restricted or prohibited materials.
• I declare that I have all the required copyright and associated rights, permission and authorization concerning the use and reproduction (includes printing, photocopying and digitalizing) for the material I supplied.
• I understand the consequence of copyright violation and all other legal violations. I will take full responsibility of my conduct. 

Terms and Conditions for 24-Hour Turnaround/Same Day Dispatch in Printing Services with Force Majeure Clause

1. Force Majeure:
   - The 24-hour turnaround time is subject to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to machine maintenance, power breakdowns, natural disasters, or any other force majeure events.

2. Notification of Delays:
   - In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the printing company will promptly notify customers of any delays affecting the turnaround time.

3. Alternative Solutions:
   - In cases of force majeure, the printing company will explore alternative solutions to minimize delays and fulfill the order as soon as possible.

4. Extended Turnaround Time:
   - Force majeure events may require an extension of the turnaround time. Customers will be informed about the revised schedule accordingly.

5. Quality Assurance:
   - Despite unforeseen events, the printing company remains committed to maintaining the highest quality standards. Additional time taken for quality assurance will not compromise the final product.

6. Communication Protocol:
   - Customers will receive regular updates on the progress of their orders, especially in situations where force majeure events impact the normal workflow.

7. Refund Policy:
   - In the rare occurrence where force majeure events significantly affect the ability to fulfill an order within a reasonable timeframe, customers may be eligible for a partial refund or alternative compensation.

8. Customer Understanding:
   - Customers acknowledge that force majeure events are unpredictable and agree to exercise understanding and flexibility during such circumstances.

9. Revised Timeline Agreement:
   - In cases of force majeure, a revised timeline for order completion will be mutually agreed upon by the printing company and the customer.

10. Continued Service Commitment:
    - The printing company reaffirms its commitment to providing the fastest possible service, even during force majeure events, and will actively work towards minimizing any inconvenience caused.

By placing an order with us, you acknowledge and agree to these terms, including the force majeure clause. The printing company reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice.
